This ice maker was rated at 5 stars so, we bought two - one for the office and one for home. The one at home worked well for 10 months and then the ice shovel broke. A piece of plastic that conected the shovel to the motor that rotated the shovel broke off. The shovel won't work so, no more ice. The part can not be bought so, as a result I am out the cost of the machine for a cheap piece of plastic. Remember, I said we bought 2 machines. The ice machine at the office made it 6 months before the exact same thing happened. This is the worst investment I have made in a long time. I have read the reviews of the other ice makers and there are others with the same complaint about other brands as well. My advice is don't buy this type of ice maker no matter who makes it.

This is my second ice maker as the first one was NewAir sold through Amazon. That was returned because it was damaged inside. But I had ordered this one to replace it right away. This one is a bit louder with the FAN. But the ice is plenty that is made from it. So much I had to give the rest to the dogs. When you get this you have to clean it. I use the clean cycle that is programmed into it. First I add 1 cup of lemon juice with 4x 4 cups of water or until it fills. Run the clean cycle then when finish drain out the water. Then fill it up again with just clean water only. The run the clean cycle again. Once that is finished drain all the water out. Now your ready to use the ice maker. I say every 5 days run the clean cycle or when you're not using the ice maker for long periods of time. Then repeat the process.

This unit uses 2 more cups water than the New Air model did. Frankly I just wanted a unit to make the ice as the Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator ice maker had stopped working. I didn't feel like to spend up to $100 or more bucks in parts just to wait 24 hours to make 12 cubes of ice. So now I can get 12 cubes of any size small, medium or large in just 6 minutes. It the unit is huge but will fit on any counter space you got. Now what I do is just make enough ice to fill the extra large ice storage box in the Whirlpool since that dispenser for ice still works for cubes or crunched ice. Anyway I use filter water from the tap water to make the ice. So the water I use to drink is the same water that is filtered by PUR is what's on the sink tap and the Whirlpool 3 & 6 stage. Anyway if you want a very good ice maker this one is the way to go!

Despite the stupid-sounding name (Sunpentown, come on!) of this ice maker, it works just as the sales information stated. I use it every day and love the compact design and ability to make ice without a water line, or permanently installed drain. At the price, you can't beat it!

My 3 year old loves his Thomas bed. We moved him upstairs to a new bedroom, and to help with the transition, we did a little bit of Thomas decorating. With just this comforter, a matching Thomas sheet set, and a set of Thomas decals, we transformed the room into paradise for him. He was so happy and so excited about his Thomas bedroom. He rolled around and snuggled into his bed excitedly and it took a few nights for him to get back to his regular fall asleep time. Now when he finishes brushing his teeth, he excitedly heads upstairs saying, "I'm going to my Thomas bedroom!" What parent isn't thrilled when their child loves going to bed?!

We keep our thermostat low in winter, at about 60 degrees, and we have complete faith that his warm PJs and his Thomas comforter and sheets keep him warm through the night.

The comforter gets a bit softer and snugglier after a wash, but is already soft and comfortable. See pic attached at top.

Overall sharp blade, good heft and right size. If you take care of this knife it will last a lifetime.

Handle: I have small hands and honestly some knifes have such a long handle it feels a bit awkward. When I used this knife, I felt like Goldilocks, it was the right size. The handle has these grooves which helps with placement of your fingers, allowing you to cut with minimal effort. I was able to cut thin slices of salami without thought and no sawing motion. With my other chef's knife, I always had to concentrate on the right placement as it did not feel natural. No such worries with this one.

Blade: Aesthetic wise, I love the design- looks like it could have come right out of my Fable game. The blade is very sharp and it cut through the Thanksgiving ham as if it was butter with minimal sawing motion.

Weight: There is a good weight to the knife, heavy enough to be substantial but not so heavy that it is burdensome.

The knife is expensive but worth it because it is a great staple knife that will work for the majority of your needs in the kitchen.

This knife was a birthday gift from my husband who tends to buy things because they look "cool" and not necessarily because they are the best at what they do. Let's just say I opened this knife up and thought, "HOLY COW, Now that's a knife!"

Here are my observations after several months of use:

The substantial blade is razor sharp-and has stayed that way. It slices through tomatoes and london broil like a hot blade through butter-no "sawing" motion required. I typically have a knife for each job around the kitchen, but this knife does the job of several, quite easily.

I was initially surprised how well the handle fit in my hand. The handle has grooves where you fingers rest, and I thought that perhaps they would feel oddly placed, as my hands are quite small. This wasn't a problem... and the knife felt very natural.

I did a little research, and read that the design of this handle is unique in that it places your hand in "the perfect position in relation to the blade for less effort and fatigue." Hmmm... I don't know if I have ever felt "fatigue" while using my other knives, but I do see now how I was never holding the handle properly,forcing the knife with pressure to cut, chop and slice. Knife-science...who knew?!?!

I find that my other knives are getting little use in my kitchen. I reach for this knife again and again.

I'm hinting to my husband that another knife in this line would make a great Christmas gift.

Shun KDM0017X Review by The Woodlander

As someone who was using the J.A. Henckels International Eversharp Pro 13-Piece Knife Set with Block for all of my cutting purposes, I realized it was time to upgrade - few things, if used, are truly "eversharp" (and certainly not for under $100). I recently purchased the Wusthof 979783 Classic 8-Inch Cook's Knife at a major cooking chain after trying it against the Global G-2 8-Inch 20cm Cook's Knife and the Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pro S 8-inch High Carbon Stainless-Steel Chef's Knife. I really liked how it felt in my hand, but found that cutting with it required me to change my grip substantially to use properly. As someone with no professional cooking aspirations or training, I just figured this came with the territory of learning to use a great knife. I also purchased the Perfect Paring Knife 4" - Shun Classic at the same time (I recommend this one as well - it lives up to its name).

Shun's knife was significantly sharper and seemed to require no effort to chop through anything. The only 8" Shun chef's knife comparable to the other knives available in store was almost 3x the Wusthof's price, so I didn't try it.

I was happy with the Wusthof, but still felt like it didn't "fit" me. I'm over 6 feet tall, and found that I was having to realign my body to cut the way that chef's did, and that I wasn't actually using most of the handle (using the three finger wrap).

Through an Amazon lightening deal, I came across this beauty for only 50% more than the Wusthof, and figured I'd give it a shot. The way I saw it, one was going back, quite possibly the Shun - unless it proved to be 50% better than the German knife.

The German knife could not have left here fast enough. One cut with the Shun and I knew I had a keeper. The fitted handle is so much more comfortable than the Wusthof. While properly controlling the blade, it is easy to fully grab the handle and have both thumb and index finger fully securing the bolster. The Shun blade is considerably sharper (although I'm sure sharpening by hand could make them comparable, the blade tip angles may play here quite a bit). Storage has proven to be an issue so far, as it doesn't fit in the block that came with the Ever-sharps (the Wusthof did) so it looks like I'll be buying a new one. The knife itself is not only functional, but quite nice to look at as well. The multiple layers of steel are beautiful and the craftsmanship evident in each and every detail.

All in all - I could not be happier - I know I have a "knife for life".

I live in a new neighborhood with active construction, which means lots and lots of dust, dirt, and other particles in the air all the time. My wife and I were concerned about the air quality for our 2-year old son, so I purchased these for our forced-air furnace. They work great. Before we got them, there was a constant film of dirt/dust on all our furniture. After, no film on the furniture, and hopefully no film in my family's lungs. BTW, several websites recommend 1900 as the happy medium between catching the most particulate matter and spending too much money.

Up until tonight (Jan. 29 2011) I was very pleased with this air mattress. I've been using it to sleep on daily for the last month. I hadn't had any problems with it leaking air. Then tonight I was reading and noticed that I was steadily sinking and if I didn't move I could hear the air coming out of a hole.

I stripped it of my sheets and saw that in the middle of the bed (along one of the indentations they've made for comfort) the plastic was torn. The rip was approximately 1/4th of an inch long and leaking a considerable amount of air. I've never had anything sharp on the bed and it has been covered by my sheets the whole time and there is no corresponding hole in the sheets so I have to assume that the plastic it is made out of is low enough quality that it simply split (for reference here I'm all of 150 lbs it isn't like I was putting tons of weight on it). It is unacceptable that a product that I paid almost 100 dollars for lasted only slightly over a month.

Do not buy this item!

I originally ordered the "AeroBed Elevated Home and Camp Bed with Built-In Extra-Life Pump" but the batteries got stuck inside the pump unit when I tested it out. I had to send it back. I needed a cordless pump style bed for camping so I ordered the raised explorer instead.

Initially the bed was great, quick to fill, good size, easy to carry, etc. It's first outing I camped for 7 days and ended up adding extra air to the bed every night. During it's second outing, over the course of the night it lost air and I ended up with my butt on the ground. It has to do with the construction of the cap. It doesn't seal off the opening sufficiently letting air seep out. I called Aerobed and all they could do was replace it with the same model with the 1 year warranty. I don't think this model is reliable and wouldn't want to replace it with the same thing. Now I'm talking to Amazon about getting a refund.

I do not recommend this bed, it's too unreliable and I'm still looking for the ultimate mattress for camping.

I have the full size version of this bed and I absolutely love it! It's great for camping trips and the portable pump that works on batteries is great when you have no place to plug in the pump. It is also nice because I can inflate my raft with the pump as well. I have taken this bed on many camping trips and it has never lost air and appears to be holding up great. The fact that it is a little higher than most beds is also a nice feature, it makes getting up out of bed a little easier in the morning. This is also just a great bed to have around the house if you have guests staying the night.

I read a previous review that stated the "coils" rusted on the bed but this is an inflatable bed and doesn't have metal coils or any metal anywhere for that matter. This is a great bed for the price and versatility.

I bought this at a local store in Hot Pink. I plan to buy 3 more. These are great for holding gadgets, electronic cases, cables... That's what I'm using mine for anyways. The only thing is that I put so much in mine that it is too heavy to lift unless I empty some. Then their is the added bonus that if you aren't using it and it is only in the way, you can collapse it and store it. It is no bigger than a binder or textbook when you collapse it, so it'll fit anywhere. Only reason I'm ordering online is because the store I went to was almost sold out of all and when I went in I only had enough for 1 at the time.

I have only one complaint about these and that is that they have a very flimsy cardboard type bottom. My curious 2 year old has bent them up pretty well. I'm going to have to have my husband make a bottom out of wood. Other than that, they're great! They hold toys in our house, so they're great to have some toys in the living room, but not a ton. We have three of them. My kids love to sit on them, and we like the extra sitting space should we need it for someone that small.

Ordered panel from Amazon.com and Unit came in perfect shape. Mounted it in a protected area pointing SW and surounded by trees
so it couldn't be seen from the beach. Works great in shaded area & overcast days with an output of 18.9VDC
very surprised. Hooked it up with a 7amp regulator to charge my 12v deep cycle boat battery. After battery was charged,
I hooked up an inverter to the battery and pluged in a 60watt bulb and radio just to try.

I received this solar panel today and the first thing I noticed is that there are no MC-4 connectors included. The second thing is that unlike the images describe, the two wires are part of the same wire "assembly" and stripped from that assembly before going into the panel, removing any weather protection they might have had. Also, since the wires are so incredibly small, no seal can be created where they go into the weatherproof box on the back of the panel.

We'll find out in the next couple of weeks if this puts out anything around 50 watts and update the review as appropriate. If so, it will still be a good deal compared to some other 45 watt poly-crystalline panel kits that cost a bunch more.

This is soooooooooo cute! We are using it in our children's bathroom with a clear liner behind it and it has really set the theme in the bathroom. It is a regular sized curtain and should be used with a liner behind it that hangs on the inside so you get the full view of the shark on the outside. For anyone who has girls and boys that use the same bathroom this is perfect. Our kids love it! It also arrived really quickly just 3 days after I purchased it during the holiday season.

Love it! The "new curtain" smell didn't last beyond day one. It isn't as see through as I expected it to be, none at all actually. But the one thing is that the blue is a lighter shade than the picture displays. But it brightened up the bathroom and I am incredibly happy!

This knife is sold as a short bread knife. I have found that it is perfect for cutting a fresh pineapple. The serrations are just right to make quick work of the outer peel of the pineapple. I also use it for bagels and homemade rolls. The black handle has proven very durable and has a nicer feel than the metal one which I have on one of Rada's longer bread knives.

It's unbelievable how smoothly this knife slices bread; the slices look almost machine-sliced. The knife is extremely sharp, though, so watch the fingers! I am so happy with this knife that I am ordering the larger bread knife as well as several other knives by Rada. I just love how sharp Rada's blades are. Their handles feel good in the hand, too. Rada makes excellent knives at an unbeatable price.

Just the right size for those loaves of homemade breads like banana and pumpkin. Doesn't need a lot of space to store, stays sharp and looks good. Don't put in the dishwasher; it gets discolored when you do. I like it!

I bought this for my foyer because of its elegant design and the fact that the depth is just 11.5 inches. It's hard to find units that narrow. I use it for hats, scarfs and gloves. It was easy to assemble and looks like the picture. There were two issues that stopped me from giving it five stars. One of the drill holes was missing, which would have been a real problem if my friend did not have a drill. Also, while the wood and the baskets seem very sturdy, parts of the wood are scuffed with a few rough patches. However, because the unit arrived in three boxes, I wasn't about to send it back. Overall it's a nice piece to have in the entryway.

This wood tier shelf is very heavy and sturdy. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well constructed it is...I was not expecting such high quality. The baskets are deep and can hold quite a bit of stuff. It matches my furniture very well...Love it and highly recommend it!

I needed something near the laundry room that could hold socks for my family. They all hate to tote their socks to the bedrooms. Instead of a laundry basket full of socks, now I have a beautiful piece of furniture that doubles as a sock drawer. The baskets are large and sturdy. I secured the stand to the wall using a couple of L brackets, but it is sturdy enough without them.
