Made a HUGE difference in load times of OS and applications likewise. But increased power consumption. Doesn't make sense, thought SSD was all about power consumption reduction as well.

I didn't achieve anything like the speeds they were advertising. This was on a fresh install of windows 7 x64 with 24GB RAM, Dual 2.93 GHz i7 processors. I think the max read/write rate I got was 180/90 MBps, with application loading at around 50 MBps. Too bad, because I was really exited that they finally had TRIM support for a fast 512 Gb SSD. I'm going to return this and wait for intel to come out with a larger version.

Easy install for a Win7 64-bit rig using a somewhat dated Asus A8N-SLI deluxe mobo. Gives a disk performance score of 7.1 (out of 7.9 max) on the Win7 benchmarks. Much speedier than my previous (non-SSD) configuration.
