I installed this on a P4 3ghz machine, with 2.5 gigs of ram, to upgrade from the Radeon 9800 128mb card I had, works really well powering a 1920x1080 23inch wide screen monitor. The couple games I have I got to turn the settings up and the graphics look great in WinXP and Ubuntu 9.10, it made Alien Arena run way faster than I'm used to.

Like most people looking to get and AGP card, I have an older computer. Its a gateway with a P4 3.2 Ghz processor and 1gig ram that I got on craigslist for 50 bucks a year ago. This card does indeed breath new life into my older computer! I am able to play modern games that I never thought I would be able to play such as Dragon Age, Last Remnant, and Aion all with no problem. I've only had it for 2 days, but I got it installed really quickly and so far nothing has gone wrong. If you want to play modern games but don't feel like paying out the rear for a modern system then this is the card to get! It might not be up to par with the 300 dollar+ PCI-E cards but as long as you aren't a total graphics whore and just want to be able to play games well then its perfect.

I bought this card exclusively so my son could play Runes of Magic with me amd it did the trick! Considering i'm using a Pentium 4 Dell Optiplex GX260 with a 4x AGP slot I was a bit skeptical it would even work, but it runs the game VERY well for an old pc and such a newer game, he gets around 20-35 fps.
It also made everything else run faster and better. Really surprised this old pc had this much power left to be unlocked, but this card did it and has had no problem running on the factory Dell 250w power supply, which was my largest concern, but no problem, the thing doesn't even get lukewam.
Very well designed card with low power consumption that will work in an old 4x AGP or 8x slot. Very glad I bought this card, saved me from having to get a new pc for just one game.
